Using Herbs to Heal Your Body Discussed on America’s Work Force

On Feb. 19, Dr. Cass Ingram joined America’s Work Force to discuss the herb, turmeric, and the benefits it has on your body.

Dr Cass IngramDr. Ingram said that it is a natural anti-inflammatory that also helps reduce the pain of arthritis. Dr. Ingram told AWF host Ed “Flash” Ferenc that thanks to curcumin, a chemical found in turmeric, the herb is helpful in preventing inflammation of a person’s joints and also modifies immune system responses to certain things. He also talked about turmeric having the same benefits on dogs as it does with humans,reducing and preventing joint inflammation.

AFGE Joseph and Denise GloverBoth, Joseph and Denise Glover from AFGE Local 3283 joined AWF today to discuss the Defensive Finance and Accounting Services in Cleveland. Joseph is a Union Steward and Denise is the Local 3283 President, both working on the DFAS-Cleveland bargaining unit. The DFAS pays all DoD military and civilian personnel, retirees and annuitants, as well as major DoD contractors and vendors.

AWF host Ed “Flash” Ferenc discussed day two of the Summit Academy, Parma charter school teacher strike. He said that Summit Academy says that they will be reopening with non-union teachers and that the school is disappointed in the current teachers lack of willingness to fair bargaining at the bargaining table.
