On Aug. 5, United Labor Agency Executive Director, Dave Megenhardt, spoke about a virtual job training event being put on by the ULA.
With unemployment peaking at 14.7 percent in April, many people who were furloughed do not have jobs to go back to, even after the pandemic. People have begun looking elsewhere for employment, even in industries of which they have no experience.
ULA virtual job training
With so many under-qualified people looking for work in fields they have no experience, the ULA organized a virtual job training event for those looking to improve their skills or learn entirely new skills needed to work in certain fields.
Megenhardt is proud of the effort the ULA is making to train those who are looking for work. Not only will it help these people improve in their careers, it will also help boost the economy by getting some people back to work.
He added that the ULA will stop at nothing to provide training to those who seek out marketable career skills.
