After years of fighting, the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act has finally passed through the House of Representatives and is now on its way to the Senate. United States Senator Sherrod Brown joined the AWF Union Podcast today to discuss the next steps to get the PRO Act passed by the Senate.

Sen. Brown discussed how proud he is of President Joe Biden for standing up and delivering his promises of being worker friendly. From making changes to the National Labor Relations Board, to signing emergency temporary workplace standards, the president is making good on his promises to protect workers.
With the passage of the American Rescue Plan and the PRO Act, Sen. Brown said the next objective on the agenda would be to strengthen multiemployer pension plans. He explained how he formally reintroduced the Butch-Lewis Act in hopes to have it included in the COVID-19 rescue package.
Lastly, Sen. Brown talked about the need for labor law reform.
