Jim Cullen, editor of the Progressive Populist spoke with America’s Work Force on Dec. 13 about President Trump and how he is not a populist.
Cullen wrote an article featured in the newest edition of the Progressive Populist about President Trump and how frustrated he gets when the President is considered a populist. He said that Trump is a conman who inherited a real-estate empire and kept it going through a series of bankruptcies and how he was also never able to pay his contractors without having to take them to court to fight over it. Cullen explained that he considers Trump a fascist, not a populist, because of his hyper-nationalization, admiration of authoritarian leaders, regulation cuts for corporations, suggestions for violence in politics to get his way and many more reasons. He also talked about Democrats and their moving forward of the impeachment process.
Justin Madden, lawyer with Justin Madden Co. LPA spoke about two Ohio Supreme Court cases and the decisions made on them. The first case dealt with sovereign immunity, where a township claimed they were not able to be held liable for negligence in an accident where a police offer crashed into another motorist during a high speed chase. The second case that Madden discussed was about teachers getting sued when students are bullied while under their watch. Madden said teachers could also be held responsible if they hear students talking about suicide idealization and do not report it or help find proper resources for the students.
AWF host Ed “Flash” Ferenc spoke about Ohio House Resolution 3, which deals with lowering and regulating the prices of pharmaceutical drugs.
