Progressive Populist Editor Jim Cullen discussed the shortcomings of President Donald Trump and disparaging comments towards servicepeople when he appeared on the Sept. 11 episode of America’s Work Force Union Podcast.
The comments come from an article he wrote in the Progressive Populist and are very critical of the President’s past and current comments.
Cullen began by analyzing an article from The Atlantic magazine. In the article Trump is alleged to have made negative comments about service members, calling them “suckers” and “Losers.”
He also mentioned alleged comments made by Trump about soldiers lost in the Iraq War and how Trump reportedly did not want wounded veterans present at military parades because people may feel uncomfortable.
Cullen attributed these alleged comments to the President’s small deficit in polls when compared to his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden.
He then transitioned into the fleeting support for the President. Cullen compared favorability and other statistics that show the attempts to scare suburbanites are not working. Cullen said the majority of Americans say racism is “a big problem in our society.”
The statistics cited by Cullen in today’s episode prove that Trump’s scare tactics are not working on suburban America, where Biden is gaining support.
Finally, Cullen noted how many Senate races are winnable for Democrats. He said many of these seats were reliably Republican when they were last voted on. He encouraged all to investigate their voting options well ahead of the Nov. 3 election day.
