The results of the 2018 midterm elections and the Environmental Protection Agency were the hot button issues discussed on the Nov. 7 edition of America’s Work Force Radio.
Contributing writer with In These Times Magazine, Shaun Richman, discussed the midterm elections and what the outcomes mean for both parties. He talked about the U.S. economy and how its current direction will affect the working class. Richman also spoke about worker strikes and U.S. labor law reform.
The President of AFGE Local 704, Mike Mikulka, talked about the steps that he believes need to be taken in order to revive the EPA, including a “back-to-basics” agenda. Mikulka spoke about how the agency has fought budget cuts over the past few years. He said there needs to be a larger focus on the EPA so the agency can keep the environment safe.
AWF host Ed “Flash” Ferenc talked about negative campaigning, which he said caused some people to not vote because they did not know what information portrayed in the commercials was true or false.
