Laborers General President Terry O’Sullivan discusses Midterm Election Results on America’s Work Force Radio
The General President of Laborers’ International Union of North America, Terry O’Sullivan, talked about the results on the 2018 midterm election on America’s Work Force Radio.
O’Sullivan, the head of LIUNA, said Democrats, by virtue of regaining control of the House of Representatives, will have a larger voice on reforms and other legislation. He spoke about President Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration, which he believes will lead to changes in the nation’s immigration laws.
Cleveland City Councilman Mike Polensek appeared on the Nov. 19 edition of AWF and discussed the need to elect people who will look out for the working class and protect Medicare, Medicaid and pensions. Elected officials, Polensek felt, must focus on bringing more jobs back to the U.S. from overseas. He talked about a proposal to reduce the size of Cleveland City Council from 17 down to nine members and the benefits associated with such change.
