Mark Seavey, web editor and blogger for the American Legion Magazine, discussed a floating repair shop just off shore of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He talked about how the shop would repair 20,000 aircraft components per month during the war and get the aircrafts, along with other machinery, back in action much faster than having to send them all the way back to the U.S to get repaired. Seavey mentioned that if they would send them back to the U.S. for repairs, it would take weeks to get them there, on top of the time to repair and ship back. Thanks to their floating repair center right off shore, they would have a much faster return rate.
AWF host Ed “Flash” Ferenc discussed increasing the minimum wage in Ohio to 15 dollars in hour by 2024 and all the benefits that it would bring to the workers and the rest of the state.
