Distribution of Wealth Discussed on America’s Work Force

Dr. Jill Stein, two-time presidential candidate for the Green Party spoke with America’s Work Force on Feb. 12 about the distribution of wealth in the United States.

Dr. Jill SteinStein discussed how the distribution of wealth in the United States makes it more difficult for disadvantaged cities to work their way out of poverty and improve the quality of life in the area. This also goes hand-in-hand with the improper distribution of, and lack of access to resources. She discussed how if poverty stricken cities had proper access to resources and a fair distribution of wealth, they could improve the quality of their surroundings and create a better quality of life for themselves. Dr. Stein also spoke about the Green New Deal and how it could help boost the economy. Lastly, she explained what rank choice voting is and how it would work in an election.

The Labor CitizenTom Germuska, Jr., editor of the Labor Citizen spoke about union membership and union density. With the decrease in union density, he explained that union brothers and sisters need to stand strong and promote the benefits of union in order to try to bring more people in. Germuska then spoke about the gender wage gap and how unions pay everyone according to their experience and not by gender. He also talked about the construction trades and how they are booming in Dayton, Ohio.

AWF host Ed “Flash” Ferenc spoke about the new budget proposed by President Donald Trump.
