Writer for The Nation Magazine Jamie Lincoln Kitman Featured on America’s Work Force Radio

One of the featured writers for The Nation Magazine, was one of the two featured guests on America’s Work Force Radio.

The Nation Magazine

On Oct. 18, The Nation Magazine featured writer Jamie Lincoln Kitman was on the show to talk about his latest article called “Worse than Lead?”, which discusses corporate America poisoning people with lead in gasoline and fire retardants. The article goes into detail about why we started using lead in gasoline and in fire retardants. The reason for wanting to put lead in gasoline was to raise the fuel’s octane level and reduces engine “knock”, but was later discovered that lead in the gasoline wreaked havoc on the engine and was soon to be phased out. He then discusses what corporations did next; sell gasoline with unprecedented amounts of lead in it to third-world countries.

Coalition of Labor Union Women CLUW
