Trump’s Climate Con Explained on America’s Work Force

Jimmy Cullen, editor of the Progressive Populist spoke to America’s Work Force on Oct. 11 about President Trump and his denial in Climate Change.

Progressive PopulistCullen talked about President Trump and how he firmly believes that there is no proof that climate change is occurring and how research going towards the study of climate change is a waste of resources. He said that the President is cutting funding for programs conducting research on cleaner energy alternatives and also slashing funds to the Environmental Protection Agency. The cutting of funds to these two areas further shows that President Trump would rather ignore and push aside extensive research on such a major topic because he does not believe in it. Cullen also spoke about tax cuts and how in 2018, the rich paid a lower tax rate than the working class.

Justin MaddenJustin Madden, lawyer with Justin Madden Co. LPA spoke with AWF on Oct. 11 about two court decisions in the Ohio supreme court. One of the cases involved an accident with two shoppers at a Giant Eagle where one shopper hit another with an electric-powered shopping cart, resulting in injuries and the death of the other shopper. Giant Eagle was first found liable for punitive damages since it was their property used, but then were found to have no legal responsibility. The second decision Madden discussed involved the Fannie Lewis Act in Cleveland. The Ohio Supreme Court decided against the Fannie Lewis Act meaning that public contractors were not required to hire city residents on projects.

AWF host Ed “Flash” Ferenc spoke about the 1.6 percent raise in cost of living adjustment for those on social security and how it is not enough to keep up with rising prescription drug prices.
