Today’s Show 9-5-18

On today’s show we have Lisa Graves with the Center for Media and Democracy, and Dave Megenhardt, Executive Director of the United Labor Agency (ULA). While on the show today, we had a lengthy conversation with Lisa Graves about her project, Documented Investigations, and the Koch’s 60 year anti-union efforts. She tells about the history of Fred Koch and how he worked with the Germans in the 30’s and the Russians after that, and how Charles and David took up after their father and followed in his footsteps. Our second guest was Dave Megenhardt with the ULA. During Dave’s time on the show, he talks about Playhouse Square’s upcoming play called “Sweat”, which talks about unions and jobs going overseas. Dave also mentions voter registration events and pledge cards being send out to remind people to exercise their rights to vote during the primaries. We also talked about Brett Kavanaugh and his labor record, North Carolina’s Congressional Districts, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee for a position, and workers talking about unionizing while at work. There is a lot of great content on today’s show!
