Dan Coughlin Talks Cleveland Sports on America’s Work Force Radio

Legendary Cleveland sports reporter Dan Coughlin joined America’s Work Force Radio and talked about the Cleveland sports scene.

Coughlin, who worked for the Plain Dealer, Cleveland Press and Fox 8, covered everything from slow pitch softball to high school football, major college football programs, the Browns and the Indians. He talked about his fourth book, Just One More Story, which is similar to his first three books where he reminisces about eccentric Cleveland sports personalities and unusual events.

Dr. James Martin also appeared on the Dec. 19 edition of America’s Work Force Radio and discussed his time working at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center. A specialist in emergency medicine, Dr. Martin talked about his experience working at one of Chicago’s Veterans Affairs hospitals, where he treats active-duty military members, their dependents and veterans. In addition to emergency care, he also serves as a primary care physician. He spoke about several instances where he was called to the Naval Station Great Lakes base.

AWF host Ed “Flash” Ferenc talked about a meeting of the country’s labor leaders, where they discussed the future of unions, how to build strong unions and ways to build up their bargaining power.

Mark Naymik from Cleveland.com Featured on America’s Work Force Radio

Mark Naymik, political columnist for Cleveland.com with featured works in the Plain Dealer, was one of two featured guests on America’s Work Force Radio.

Mark Naymik On Oct. 24, Mark Naymik made an appearance on America’s Work Force Radio to discuss the controversy surrounding Ken Johnson and his monthly reimbursement payments of $1,200. Johnson has undefined expenses and is being reimbursed $1,200 every month and no one is questioning why. Naymik also talks about the political landscape in Ohio with the governor race and the senate race.

International Brotherhood of Teamsters Tyler LongpineThe second featured guest to appear on the show was Tyler Longpine, Political Director with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. While on the show, Longpine discusses the upcoming election, voter suppression, and what is at stake for working families. He goes on to talk about retirement security, social security, and union pensions.
