Rank choice voting was the main topic on America’s Work Force Radio.
Chris Hughes, Staff Attorney with Fair Vote, discussed rank choice voting during his Nov. 30 appearance on AWF.
Hughes described rank choice as a voting method where a voter ranks as many candidates as they would like to by first-choice and so on. He claims rank choice could make Democracy more reflective of the voters and their candidate preference. He believes it better reflects the majority of voters. Hughes also talked about other the potential for states to adopt rank choice using a pilot program, where they could use rank choice for three elections and then decide if they would like to make it permanent.
AWF host Ed “Flash” Ference discussed Sen. Sherrod Brown calling out President Trump in response to the President blaming Brown for the planned closure at the Lordstown General Motors plant.
