O’Sullivan, the head of LIUNA, said Democrats, by virtue of regaining control of the House of Representatives, will have a larger voice on reforms and other legislation. Cleveland City Councilman Mike Polensek appeared on the Nov. 19 edition of AWF and discussed the need to elect people who will look out for the working class and protect Medicare, Medicaid and pensions. Elected officials, Polensek felt, must focus on bringing more jobs back to the U.S. from overseas. He talked about a proposal to reduce the size of Cleveland City Council from 17 down to nine members and the benefits associated with such change.
America’s Work Force Radio host Ed “Flash” Ferenc discussed how the “Fight for $15” helps families. Ferenc also talked about the need to restoring voter and voting rights.
