GOP Tax Cuts Discussed on America’s Work Force

Marshall Auerback, contributing writer to the Independent Media Institute spoke to America’s Work Force on Tuesday, July 30 about the GOP tax cuts.

Marshall Auerback Independent Media InstituteAuerback discussed the GOP tax cuts, led by President Trump, and how they have hurt American’s more than they have helped. The purpose of the tax cuts was to have money to create more jobs but the tax cuts have not come back to create the jobs they promised, rather, they accelerated offshoring. According to Auerback, one of the major examples of this was the AT&T tax bailout. AT&T asked for a tax cut, which they promised they would use to create thousands of jobs for every billion they were saved. After receiving 20 billion dollars in tax cuts, no jobs were created and thousands were destroyed. Auerback said that AT&T took this tax break and offshored their call center jobs after promising to create more jobs.
