Dorsey Hager, executive secretary-treasurer with the Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council spoke with America’s Work Force on Friday, July 5 about the economy in Columbus, Ohio.
Hager first spoke about Columbus and all of the construction projects going on in the area. He said that the amount of construction going on in the area is a good thing because it is putting a lot of people to work and helping boost their economy. Next, Hager spoke about a neutrality agreement with Columbus hotel employees and their employers. He said that the hotels told their employees they are not for, or against unions, so if they decide that they want to unionize, the employers will not push back against them.
Matt Rothschild, executive director of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign spoke with AWF on Friday, July 5 about the current environment of the Wisconsin legislation. He discussed the big problem of gerrymandering and how over 60 percent of Wisconsin legislators are working hard to ban it.
AWF host Ed “Flash” Ferenc spoke about the demise of journalism in the United States.
