Retired general president of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Tom Buffenbarger spoke with America’s Work Force on May 28 about Delta Airlines and their union busting tactics.
Buffenbarger began his time on AWF by speaking about Delta Airlines and their recent anti-union messages that they have been posting. He said that when there was talk of the workers attempting to organize, posters began to be posted about better ways to spend hard earned money on union dues. Buffenbarger scoffed at the fact that there had been a sign put up telling workers they were better off spending their money on new video games, or going to sporting events rather than spending them on union dues. He then went on to talk about Boeing in South Carolina using IAM workers to show other Boeing workers how to properly make a Boeing jet. Lastly, Buffenbarger spoke about the stock market and how much it has been fluctuating.
Jon Reiss, executive director of the Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission spoke with AWF on May 28 about some of the services that the CCVSC provides. He discussed their most used service currently, which is their financial assistance program. Reiss also explained what their employment and society reconnecting programs do as well as veterans utilizing their healthcare plans.
AWF host Ed “Flash” Ferenc spoke about President Trump’s disapproval ratings, and also his former ghost writer.
